There’s a Russian saying I love:
“Всё своё время” — For everything, there is a time and a season.
We live in a world that demands visibility, urgency, and instant results.
But if there’s one thing I’ve been learning—especially as we stand at the edge of spring turning into summer—it’s how radically transformative it is to align with the season you’re actually in.
This season, for me, hasn’t been about being everywhere.
It’s been about going deep.
It’s been less about output—and more about architecture.
Less about noise—and more about anchoring.
As I continue building the next evolution of The Nourished Leader, I’ve found myself in one of the most confronting and clarifying times of my life—as a founder, a woman, and a leader.
And I’ve been wrestling with three deeply embedded habits. Maybe you’ve met them too:
1. Letting Go of the “Build Rome in a Day” Mindset
If I had to name one of the most toxic patterns I’ve carried into my leadership, it’s this: the glorification of speed.
I used to wear urgency like a badge of honor.
If it wasn’t built by Friday, it wasn’t good enough.
But I’ve come to see the real cost—on my health, my creativity, and my peace.
This year, I made a commitment to unlearn this pattern.
To let myself slow down and build something real.
Pace isn’t weakness. Pace is wisdom.
2. Refusing to Build the Plane While Flying It
This one has been harder to shake.
For years, “build the plane while flying it” was my gospel.
It’s what I believed made me successful.
But I’ve realized that kind of success often came at the cost of sustainability.
It kept me surviving—but not thriving.
And that’s the exact opposite of what a nourished leader stands for.
So now, I’m doing something different.
I’m building the plane.
Fueling it.
Designing the runway.
And then I’ll fly.
This time, I’m giving myself the dignity of doing it right.
3. No Longer Throwing the Baby Out With the Bathwater
This one is about integration.
For so long, I thought evolving meant starting from scratch.
I’ve had to unlearn the habit of self-abandonment—of erasing everything that came before in order to “become.”
Now I know:
I don’t have to choose between honoring myself and honoring what’s already been built.
Both can coexist.
Wisdom is cumulative. And nothing was wasted.
I’ll be sharing more soon about what’s ahead—including ✨exciting✨ announcements later this month.
But for now, I just wanted to offer this: a glimpse into the roots I’ve been tending while the world above stayed quiet.
Thank you for walking with me—through every season.
Here’s to what’s coming next.
Natalie 💚
